Over 11,000m of vertical descent

Below is a sample list of Intermediate Riding. Our Advanced Rides progress to a higher level and more uphill riding is included. We have some very special and challenging trails to test the best amongst you ~ we guarantee you will be impressed!

Day 1

Arrive in ZERMATT to be met by us and taken to your accommodation. Assemble & check bikes (or collect from the rental shop). We take the Matterhorn Express to Schwarzsee at 2583m. The descent back down to the village is a good introduction to the area

Day 2

Ride up (or take the Sunnegga Express) to Sunnegga. Ride up (or take the lift) to Blauherd at 2571m. Cable car to Rothorn at 3103m. Coffee & photos with the fantastic back drop of the Matterhorn. We descend to Zermatt via Grünsee and Riffelalp

Day 3

We take the Matterhorn Express to Schwarzsee (2583m). Descent to the end of Zmuttgletscher. Climb up to Höhbalmen at 2750m. An exposed single track descent leads us to Trift at 2337m We descend from Schweifenen at 2500m on technical single track.

Day 4

Ride up (or take the Sunnegga Express) to Sunnegga (2300m). We traverse to Riffelalp at 2222m. Train up to Gornergrat at 3100m. Coffee and photos with the stunning Gorner Glacier and Matterhorn backdrop scenery. The descent to ZERMATT is a combination of fast & rocky trails and premium quality single track.

Day 5

Guides day off. Try the fantastic summer ski area (largest in Europe) with free guiding or climbing, ice-climbing, swimming, paragliding, gorge walking, lama trecking or relaxing!

Day 6

We descend the ZERMATT valley to the traditional village of St Nicklaus (1130m). A 45 minute road climb to Grächen at 1615m for a different view of the Matterhorn and a coffee stop. The descent to Kalpertran at 900m is mostly flowing single track. Riders with excess energy can ride back up to ZERMATT with Al or Chris. The rest of us take the cog train and watch them!

Day 7

The BIGGEST day of the week: The Downhill Club! For the dedicated and hard-core trail riders it is an early start: We take the 1st lift up to Rothorn (3103m). We quickly descend, heading north, turning onto the Europa-Weg, before the hikers have had breakfast! It is a switch-back-fest down to Täsch at 1440m. The late-starters can join us here. We descend the ZERMATT valley to Stalden at 800m. 2 cable cars lift us to Gspon at 1900m. After a quick snack we climb on forest tracks to the Gebidum Pass at 2201m. The 13kms descent to Brig at 680m completes a ride that you will remember for years.
